WOO-HOO!!! I went to my mailbox today and what do I see? The
l'box that finds me! WOO-HOO!!!
I am honored to be the first recipient! I have already promised
to mail this box to a certain person. So I will make the request that
they mail it to Wes. So Wes, if you are willing, please email me your
address so that I may add it to the very large list of 96. I highly
recommend that if you haven't made a request to receive this box that
you should re-think your thoughts.
This is special as it came in the mail. Actually, it is the second
one that has come in the mail. I received the Purple Heart box back
in January and I have also been mailed a HH. So I am going to have to
think of a letter to use for these finds. How about BiM(box in mail)?
Kudos to Autumn and Mark for this great box.
WOO-HOO!!!

There are a few letterboxes that travel from person to person by
mail, rather than hiding in the woods somewhere. Folks that receive
any of these boxes post here to let folks know the whereabouts of the
box.
There are two boxes currently - the Letterbox that finds you, and the
Snail Mail letterbox. The original box was called "Flutterby" but I
don't know if that box is still fluttering around or not. There are
also event specific postal boxes like the Purple Heart (mailed to
someone injured in the course of boxing) for example. You'll see
them posted about.
Hope that answers you! :)

Autumn added names to the list BEFORE the letterboxes were launched.
If you want to add your name now, I would suggest sending an email
to someone as soon as they post that they have received it. Include
your name and postal address. Do not post this information on the
list unless you want the world to know where you live. If you catch
them in time and they are so inclined they can add you to the list.

As far as I know someone has gotten our name and address which we sent
inorder to receive the postal box. And I'm waiting to get it in the mail. I'm one
of the last to sign up so I think I have a long wait Another letterbox is
sending one though the mail too & the list was shared with him or her. So I
check the mail everyday waiting for my surprise.

Silly Dingo, you must have missed the fine print when you signed up for the
box: "No moving allowed" :-) Just kidding. But it does raise a good point.
Since there are LOTS of people on the mailing list for my first Snail mail
box (of that name) & it seems to keep getting 'stuck' (or people aren't
letting me know when they have it), it will take awhile to get to everyone
on the list. If the exterior of the package is marked 'return postage
guaranteed', does it go to the return address on the package? Maybe my
address should always be the return address for that box?

I sent out Aztec Gold with pre-made mailing labels using my address as the
return address and a list that showed each person and who's next. According
to the USPS, UPS and FedEx, if they are unable to deliver it to the address,
they are to return it to the return address. I didn't think about putting
"Return Postage Guaranteed" though I'd be happy to receive it back if it is
undeliverable.
Aztec Gold has made it to it's first recipient and is off to the next on the
list, details are available at the website.
